What happens when you book a session with Crystal?
The portrait process will involve multiple sessions – a pre-session consultation, the photo shoot, the reveal & ordering appointment, delivery & installation.
THE PRE-SESSION CONSULTATION
During the pre-session consultation, I will work with you to develop a plan that takes into consideration what to wear, hair-styling and makeup, what images you’d like, color design, location and how you would like your portraits displayed today and years from now.
THE PHOTOSHOOT
My cozy Prince George studio contains a multitude of props and set designs, controlled lighting and a comfortable lounging area. If you prefer to take the photo shoot outside – no problem! – I can bring props and lighting equipment to any location you choose. I am familiar to many scenic spots around the city and am happy to offer suggestions.
THE REVEAL & ORDERING APPOINTMENT
During this appointment everyone is welcome. Your images will be displayed on my reveal wall and all you need to do is choose your favorites. I’ll be there to help you choose between various designs, art pieces, frames, and albums. I specialize in custom wall art, locally handcrafted wooden folio boxes and Italian handmade heirloom albums.
DELIVERY & INSTALLATION
I’ll call you when your art pieces are ready and will help with installation if you need it.
A LONG TERM PLAN
And that’s not the end! Parents often come to me to capture the first year’s milestones with my baby plan and also come year after year, updating their family portraits as their children grow. Together we can create art that coordinates with past sessions.
